Welcome to Computational Biomechanics Research Laboratory (CBRL) at the University of Illinois, Chicago, which is directed by Dr. Hamed Hatami-Marbini.

Mission
The research efforts at CBRL are mainly focused on using analytical, numerical, and experimental techniques to investigate the complex mechanics of biological and non-biological composite structures ranging from the cytoskeleton and the extracellular matrix to structural nano-composite materials.

We have been developing composite predictive multiscale computational models for the mechanics of these systems based on experimental measurements and molecular-level modeling techniques.
